Just curious to see how common it is for people to name their car

For my wife and myself it a yes
My 340i is called Nelsie
My wife calls her Altima SR car Orlando

So far we have had:

Sterling- ford probe GT
Snowflake - ford probe GT
Ruby- BMW Z4
Pearl- Audi A3
Sasha - BMW X1
Snowflake 2 - BMW X3
Big Blue- my Toyota Tundra
Carbon - BMW 440 xi Grand Coupe

So yep, we name our cars!

Yup, and always German names.

We started with Hans (E36 325i) and Franz (E53 X5) because “we’re here to pump you up!”.

Traded Hans for Wolfgang aka Wolfie (E46 330i). Franz aka Franzie became Franz Jr (E70 X5). Had a Gunther in there somewhere (ML320). Wolfie got traded for Chancellor Otto von Bismarck aka “The Chancellor”, my F30 335i.

Sometimes. I named all of the many junker cars I had in the 80's and 90's, but I never named my Acura Integra or the two follow-up RSX-S's. However, my red '13 328 was named Rudolph because I delivered gifts to a friend's family during a bad time they were having on Christmas the first year I had it (Rudolph the Red-Nosed Vrooom-Deer was the full name). My 340 got named "Justin" for no particular reason. Still not sure why.

No names for the RSX's? Booo.

My two RSX's were Autumn & Veronica. First was a 02 base & second was a 06 Type-S.

My F30 is named Adelaide. Wifey's Accord is named Izzy.
