All Aboard Toreador

My 328i is being driven up the ramp right now (more or less) in Bremerhaven.

Anyone else on board? Where is your final destination/dealership?

Glad to have you join me. Just don't door ding me. ;-)

My ultimate destination is Tacoma,WA. I believe that we both come ashore in Cali on or about 9/19.

We're through the Panama Canal. Now sailing north off of the coast of Mexico.

Awesome...getting closer. Mine was euro delivery, so it may take longer to get through customs/prep and make its way to the dealer. Probably another 3-4 weeks to go

I picked it up on 8/2. Dropped it off in Paris on 8/15. Did 2100 miles (Austria, Italy, France, Spain) and had a great time. What about you?

Unloading in CA now.

On my ED I had to cut things crazy-short. You used to be able to drive through the Chunnel to England and drop there. No longer. For that and other last minute change reasons, I drove mine straight to the airport and flew to England. Not much of an ED experience, I know.

That was short, lol. At least you did the Welt...that was half the fun. Looks like the Toreador is on its way to Washington. Hopefully it'll go faster now with a lighter load!

Well, my car is off the boat and waiting in Oxnard, CA for a transporter to Tacoma, WA dealership. I think that they bring all of the BMWs off in Port Hueneme so that they can clear customs and do ding repairs in one place. That said, it doesn't make the wait any easier.

Oh, I didn't know they all came to So Cal. So your car made it through the VDC? How did you get status that it is awaiting transport? Your CA?

My car is a the dealership in Tacoma as of today. I learned that it had been offloaded in Port Hueneme by checking the website for the shipping company and putting in my VIN. Ironically, the next port of call for the Toreador is Tacoma but Jones Act must prevent them from hitting two US ports with cargo on board.
