OEM HID Cut Off Lines - Thoughts?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I recently had my passenger headlight housing replaced due to some defect, and am now curious about the cut-off as I am worry that the new housing is not adjusted properly. It seems to me that the passenger side is aiming quite a bit higher than the left, but when shined on my garage door it appears to look like this: (Driver side on left, passenger on right) Does this look normal to you or do you think the passenger side is aimed too high? And why does it have two little humps like that? Thanks! dL |

But can't it be determined based on the relative line? The line theoretically should be horizontal, just perhaps not at 0 degrees.
I'm new to this, so if parallel is required, then I'll try to attempt taking a picture again. Any thoughts to the two humps? dL |

bright spots are the focus center of the aim
for left hand cars, passenger side will always be higher... you are aiming at the side of the road for pedestrian safety... but you dont want to put the glare on incoming traffic it's all part of the regulations

Good to know but I am just afraid that the passenger side may be aimed too high after getting it replaced.
Can anyone kindly take an OEM cut off line and post it here for comparison sales? Thanks guys! dL |

Can you shoot another one where it's pitch black road with no street lamp and no car in front of you? Appreciate it though! dL |
