EDIT: Looks like the official position is "Production begins in November", and since my car was PW43 completed on Oct 31st, I guess I don't get the new nav... wtf?

So I spent all day yesterday at the SD Food & Wine Festival thinking about today and the possibility of snaking a car rather than wait for my build supposedly arriving Dec 30th or who knows when.

I tried not to get too excited about it even though I woke up at 4:00Am this morning thinking about the possibility. I call my contact at 10:30AM and everything was on for my two hour drive to LA.

When we're in the car my wife says, so there's a possibility that we might not come home with a car today and I say relunctantly..yes. We don't know what's going to happen. About an hour into the drive I get the call that the dealer had just received the car and that it had......6MT. A total deal killer.

I guess I am just supposed to wait for my order and so I am back at square one with the rest of you who have gone through this incredible waiting game. All of us should get medals...

I just found a car with all my options plus another worth $500. I will probably call my dealer and see if they can trade, not getting my hopes up as the other dealer is in another state and about 800 miles away.

Mine says paint shop with completion 11/16 so I hope it will be on 11/21 boat but I don't know. I'm hoping the 800# is behind as usual.

Likely no reason to be upset. New Nav for PW45+ cars is confirmed for Europe, and probably some other countries, but evidence points to BMWNA not taking the new Nav at this time.

We will know for sure as BMWNA customers take delivery of PW45+ cars.

The 800 # today says my car is in the paint shop with a completion date of 11/16.....lmao. I just think if BMW is going to do this 800 # they should update it on a timely basis or just forget the whole thing. This is just ridiculous..

Looks like mine did not make it on the 11/16 boat. I didn't have time to go to the dealer to see if they will do an out of state trade but will definitely go tomorrow.

Edit: Just called the other dealer and the sales guy said they would not trade for the car. When a trade is involved is it not to the discretion of the manager?

I would just try to be patient and wait on the car you ordered. You will get exactly what you want, it will not have been test driven by some idiot, and you will get the satisfaction of knowing that you were the one who is responsible for it be created as it is. The wait will be worth it.
