Price on 428i Question - Any help would be appreciated

Hey guys,

New to the forum.

I currently have an e92 335i which I love.

However I have the opportunity to purchase a 2014 428i, White/coral red with about 11,000KM on it with the 80,000km/4 year warranty.

It is a non-xdrive and the only package that it has is the Premium Package.

The price is $42,500.

Now I don't love the white and would probably want to do a few things ie add an msport front, but my question is - Is $42,500 a killer deal on this car? I haven't shopped for a new car in years and I've done the configuring on the bmw site and it seems to be. What are your opinions?

Thanks in advance!

Car when new is $50K, you are telling me that a (almost) 2 model years old only depreciated for $7500. Hell, the moment it drove off the lot, it already lost this much.

$42.5K + taxes ? If it is, then not enough close.

$38K + taxes would be my preferred # to offer.

Hi Bobblehead,

Appreciate the feedback! I was just looking in comparison to other pre-owned f30's and f32's and thought it might be a really good deal. Sounds like you think otherwise. Thanks for letting me know.

I would try something between 75 And 78 % of the original msrp plus tax no other fees.

just remember, what dealer asks is always way over inflated as they are simply looking for one sucker out there. In the end, dealer can ask for the sky and whether they will get this is another story. Even Autotrader listing are often overinflated and therefore, in some cases, you may be better off by buying brand new. When you combined both factory incentive + dealer side discount, one can get like 10% - 12% off the list price. Of course, the downside would be paying all these garbage fees (freight/pdi, tire levy, admin fee, ac tax)

Hey guys thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it.

I figured saving on the garbage fees as you mentioned would help, but I think I've made my mind to pass. Not in love with the color, might as well spend a little more and get exactly what I want. Thanks!
