Going to the track

I'm finally going to make it to the 1/4 mile tomorrow night.
I have never ran an automatic car down the track.

What is the best way to go about this?

Traction control off? DCT off? Sport mode with shifting or just let it shift itself?

Hold brake down to build boost while launching?

Thanks

Try sport plus and just bury the gas. You have AWD and peak torque way down low. No need to build boost like that IMO. If S+ interferes too much then run with everything off.

You should get some 100 octane too

You should have a launch control mode, dunno how it's activated though.

Which track?

So far my best times have been with traction control completely off + brake boosting. However, last night the track was pretty slippery so I tried sport+ and hit the traction button, beat my record by 0.03s and ran an 11.83/118. Make sure the shifter is to the left in "S" mode. Also be sure to lower your tire pressure if you're having a hard time hooking. Good luck and let us know how you did!

Edit: if you are tuned I would definitely recommend 100oct race gas OR a couple gallons of E85 mixed in with your pump gas for consistent runs.

atco raceway is the closest track to us

So just brake boosting? No launch control ?
What mods do you have? 11.83 is very impressive

Car needs to be warmed up already
Set to Sport+
Shift to S
Apply brake (all the way)
Apply gas (need to floor it past the "click")
Launch control indicator will come on at 2k rpm.
Lift off brake and go.

Launch Control (for 6MT):
Car needs to be warmed up already
Set to Sport+
Hold down traction & disable
Put car in 1st gear, clutch in.
Apply gas 100%, bounce off rev limiter.
Side step clutch when 2nd yellow from bottom appears on tree.
Modulate throttle according to traction (AWD should not be problem)

Didn't die lol!

Have not ran at the track for a good five years.

Times were decent I guess. First run was a 12.8. Best time was 12.6. I need to work on launching the car and getting the 60 foots down and I am sure I could be in the lower 12's.

Sport + with dct inactive. Break boosting and launching at around 3k, jb4 map 7 with 103 VP fuels octane.

I logged the runs. Maybe Terri at n54 tech can adjust my map a bit and ill give it another shot next week.

You might be able to improve a few tenths looking at that 60 foot time. Nice work.
