Boost Gauge

Hello guys. Just wanna know if anyone know how to install a boost gauge with the b58 engine? Not the P3 gauge. Like a actual gauge (EX.Defi Gauge). How can I locate the vacuum line or boost line? If anyone knows please help me. Thank you!!

I had attached a pic for reference.

Unfortunately nothing in the vehicle runs from engine vacuum (since it doesn't make any due to the valvetronic system) so you'll have to make a port yourself, I believe I've heard of some using the BMS meth spacer plate as an input if you wish to not disturb any parts

It makes some, for ventilation but you're right. Nothing useful here. Does the P3 gauge simply go off the canbus? In the E9X it uses a physical port.

Depends on the model you buy. One is OBDII, the other is direct boost connection (if you run a piggy back, you'd need the latter to get the actual reading).

I finally got my P3 with analog boost to work. I bought the BMS meth spacer (mounts between the intake and the charge pipe).

You will also need:
Qty 1, 1/8" MIP plug (to seal one of the holes on the meth spacer).
Qty 1, 1/8" MIP to 3/16" hose barb.

Works great. Only thing you miss is there is no vacuum reading since it's mounted on the wrong side of the throttle body. It becomes a pure boost gauge only.

How much did the entire combo run you? For about $600, you could have just bought a JB4, run Map 0 or 4 (stock tuning), then get 6 gauges and datalogging on your phone.

I run a PLX OBD2 vent gauge in my Mustang, but wish I had what the JB4 could display instead. There's nothing like it that I have found.

Vastly more than I wanted.

I think it was $1000 all in (with the Active8). I do like the torque curve of the A8 vs JB4 though.

Yes there is, the N-gauge will display up to 6 at a time. I ran it on my 15 gt, it worked quite well, very useful while tuning e85 especially as it can display alcohol % by using the 02 sensor
