So long F series - F30luxline's Journal - 2012 328

I figured I would start a Journal, showing modifications that I have done. I will list my mods, show some pics and update when necessary.

JB4 - I daily map 7 with an e85 mix of 45ish% ethanol

Injen intake

ER catless DP

ER Charge pipe

BC Racing coilovers

Megan Racing rear/upper control arms

Beyern Mesh wheels - 19x8.5 et40 (235/35) 19x9.5 et45 (265/30") 5mm spacers all around. Toyo T1-R tires

M sport grilles

Keyhole cover

Chrome front signal bulbs, iJDMTOY LED DRL, MTEC Cosmos Blue headlights

BMS oil catch can - The tabs broke on the hose connector, these were very brittle and broke when depressed during removal. I used some heat-shrink to ensure this connection doesn't come loose.

Exterior Pics

Links to other mods
Modified stock exhaust
ER FMIC

Lighting
MTEC Cosmos Blue headlights
MTEC Golden Yellow fogs
Removed parking bulbs

CODING
DVD in motion
Navigation ack removed
///M logo on cluster upon startup
SAT
Sport +
Doors unlock with ignition
Window roll-up with fob
DRL and Parking light bulb check disabled
Front signals off with parking/head lights

I have had the arms installed for about 1k miles. So far so good, we will see what the future brings us.

I don't track, drive aggressive or carve corners at 70mph.

The welds look as good as any. The steel is just carbon steel, nothing superior like chromoly or high strength. The powder coat finish was good. I was leery on it being Megan Racing but these are the only option for us F30's.

I added the BMS catch can. The install was very simple. I did run into a problem where the locking tabs on the hose connector broke off. These were extremely brittle on my car. I have added heat-shrink tubing to this connection to keep it together.

I also updated the first post with some miscellaneous items I have done like bulbs and coding.

It does not. It's really easy to install.

http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=701997

I don't recall having to pull on the handle during installation. Some people have stated doing so will mis-align the connection for the handle to key cylinder.

I added a few pics. I originally had a few pics showing the whole car. I re-did the post using URL for the pics instead of uploading them to the site, I guess I forgot to repost them.

I have noticed that I don't take many pics of the drivers side for some reason

Very nice. I'm considering the BC Racing coils. What are your thoughts on them?

Looks great! I like the keyhole cover, will need to look into those.
Ignorant question - does the lux line only have the Eco Pro, Comfort and regular Sport settings only? No Sport+ from factory?
I'm completely base line so would be interested in coding if possible.
