I ordered from skene design, should be coming soon (hopefully before i get my new bumper)
http://skenedesign.com/FPBracket/Euro.shtml you drill holes in parts not directly visible. looks better than the tow hook ones (if youre keeping them on long term).

I have a tow hook mount but I haven't been running it frankly.
I pee a little when I drive past the police but I do it everyday and so far haven't seemed to attract much attention. The yellow NY plates just look awful...the retractable style is pretty slick though.

I don't really want to run a front plate and it's usually not a problem in TX, but it can be an easy reason for a cop to stop me. I still can't decide if i like the look of a towhook plate or not.

Meter maids can give you a ticket for invalid equipment/no front plate. Esp in towns where they have dedicated code enforcement they love to make that money.

On the 335i I assumed the dealer would mount the bracket, but when I picked it up they said customers don't like it--so they don't automatically do it.

My front plate is not mounted right now. I have some strong 3M double-sided tape used for mounting automotive trim pieces and such.
I want to use this tape to mount the OEM plate holder, without drilling. I haven't done a test fit yet, but the M-sport plate holder does not seem like it has enough surface area to attach to the bumper with just tape, i.e. it looks like it needs screws. |
