European Delvery: when should I order for US model year 2014

I know I have to go to Europe some time this year and I can choose when. I will take advantage of this trip to pick up my next car in European Delivery.

I'm thinking of maybe waiting for model year 2014 which I think will be released in the summer?

At which point this year should I order the car if I want to take delivery of a 2014 model?

If you keep in touch with your dealer and snag a first production slot, should be plenty. (Remember, production only takes a bit more than a week, most of the waiting time for US delivery is the shipping).

Edit: Also make sure to schedule the ED ahead of time, since they also have to slot those, usually months before.
