Throttle response, steering tension, responsiveness of the step8m, exhaust "bubbling".

How do you know? Conjecture or fact.

Thanks. Glad I joined this thread. So this (2011) blurb from the bmwusa site says the Adaptive M Suspension also lowers the car 10 mm - is this true on the 2014 three series cars?

I take it that DHP is not available for the 320i even with the sport package?

I just went to BMW Canada's web site and added to a 2014 320i. $1200 Canadian Sheckels. Looks like you can add it.

Well, good thing I saw this thread, joined in, and displayed my ignorance about the M Sport suspension vis-a-vis DHP. I just got off the phone with my CA and he was able to modify my order to add DHP - - literally at the eleventh hour. The car goes into production tomorrow, Monday. Phew! That was close!

lucky you. dealers here aren't open Sunday
if I hadn't added DHP I'd be a little unhappy now.

as some have said, BMW doesn't promote/explain this well
my CA didn't understand it; she asked why I didn't want it initially and I said it wasn't compatible with M Sport, but I hadn't read it closely enough; she should have known

next question--MPPK or not???

I am likely going to add MPPK, but not going to have it port installed. I want to feel the difference for myself before and after having it added. I am ordering a MT car, so I can't just drive down to my local dealership and drive a non MPPK 435 with a MT for a comparison test since they haven't had one MT 435 (or 428 for that matter) in stock, ever.

The differences are in my experience, a 2" gain in the 100/200kph acceleration and that's very good!
After that, I recorded, with BMW LapTimer wich connects to the car ECU, a 4"9 on the classic 0-62mph (0-100kph), starting on a bad asphalt, with lots of skidding of rear tyres
That's enough to consider MPPK a good choice!

I don't see it available in the US, unless I totally missed it.

I couldn't find it either. Then again, Americans can buy a base 328i for about the same price we buy a 320i in Canada.
