Wheels
Hey Guys,
Sorry to keep posting so many questions about the new 3, they just haven't been able to keep any in stock at my dealer to go and check out. My question this time is wheels. On the M sport, do the 19" standard wheels look better in person? I'm just not too crazy about them in the pictures. It seems like a strange wheel to put on the M sport, it really isn't that sporty looking. But maybe I'm wrong. I almost wish they would have done the standard 18"s in 19"s because I do like the look of those, but they need to be a bit bigger. As far as going with some of the BMW Performance wheels, How do you think the the BMW Performance Wheels-style 313 would look on a M Sport? They are the wheels that were used for last models 335is. Just need some feed back. Thanks

Okay, so they do look a lot better with some tire shine on them. Oh how that stuff can make a world of difference when it comes to appearance.

Yes they do , you will love them.... And if not I may buy them from you. Mine came with run flats, continental but changing to all season non run flats and getting the continental kit from flats.

From the photos 18" look really nice on M-sport, but in person, the 19" take the cake.
My dealer told me if you custom order with 19" now, you'll have to wait longer. They have a supply shortage of them. |

I believe the 19" delay is in the past. I had no issue when ordering my pw45 car. CA advised today car has a 11/8 production date.

I like the 18's, they look much better in person than in pictures. The 19's are nice too but the 18 don't cost any extra.

People have different tastes for wheels. I don't care for the 19" and will just take the 18"s, buy M5 replicas, Michelin Pilot Sports and hope I never get a flat. I prefer a wheel that is concave and open, and will show off my M-Performance brakes.
But, finish on the 19" wheels is very nice. Polished or shiny alloy, I'm not sure how to describe, but you need to see it in person. Picture don't do it justice. It is a beautiful finish. If you go with the standard 18", you save $900 plus you can sell the 18" wheels and tires. Although, I'm not sure what you can get for them. |
