N55 Low Pressure Fuel Pump Failure!
Hi Guys,
I want to inform you that last thursday my N55 suddenly switched off while cruising! I had only the possibility to move to the right side of the road and call the roadside assistance... Today I've taken back the car and the problem was the low pressure fuel pump that has broken! It is a simple mechanical element, but the consequences of a failure are not so nice, expecially if you are in an highway! Any other has experienced this kind of issue?

Oh my gosh, you're right!
I was sure the recall regarded fuel pump hpi! In Italy, non in Europe, no kind of recall... Incredible!

You gotta be shitting me,
Precisely why I moved away from the N54 was all the damn fueling issues, from HPFP, LPFP, to injectors, etc. Anyone in the states have this issue? Im about to flash tune the car and add DP's. This will probably kill my LPFP in no time. |

So did they only put this pump in 4 series or 2015 F3X?
I just typed my VIN into the recall Database and nothing came up. Nice that BMW gets the same quality pump as a Nissan, no offense to Nissan owners, but that is ridiculous. |

On BMW realoem.com there are 3 fuel pumps:
- cod. 16117297778: produced till 04/2014 and indicated as "ENDED", so no longer available. That was my old and broken LPFP and it is probably the one involved in the big recall. - cod. 16117414482: produced till 11/2014, it doesn't seem to be considered in the recall. - cod. 16117243975: currently produced. In my warranty invoice this is the product code indicated, so I think I could stay quiet and happy... Maybe???
