Keeping the upper M Performance lip matte, or Black Sapphire Met.

Hi.

My M Sport aero kit parts are at the dealer getting painted and prepared to be installed early next week.
Since I also got the M Performance lip, they offered to paint either the upper parts, the lower lip, or leave everything matte.

It's already clear that the lower lip will stay matte (for road debris and parking entrance), but really don't know if it would be a good idea to paint the upper part since my car is black.

What do you think ?

How is it on the original M Performance F30 ?

Thanks.

Id consider the upper part body color, thats what Im planning on doing. Since your car is already BSM then I don't think it will matter much - but the fitment of that upper part isn't always great hence the reason to match the body color. definitely leave the lower matte.

My car is black too, and I left it all matte at first, but after just couple weeks, I regret it and painted the top black sapphire as well. You won't be wrong doing that,

Because your car is black I would paint the entire upper and lower lip. I think if will finish it off.

Mine I painted the lower lip and left the upper Matt black but that was to match the black strip along the rockers

Finally went and got the upper part painted only.
Should fit well with the mat M Performance side sill, if I ever decide on buying those.
Also, won't get crazy if I scrape it on a parking exit.

See my post here for the pictures.
