I am told we cannot get the leather dash option anymore? Is this true? Its only been one month since release of 2015!

When and where did you order? we're both in the same boat, I havent' entered production yet either. My status is still 111 as of two days ago according to my CA.

Mine is still 105 because I'm doing ED next month. It will probably change in next couple weeks. I really wanted this leather option since I ordered coral red and wanted to tone it down a little. Does anyone know anything about this kind of situation?

I might email my CA tomorrow and see if he can find out. I did the leather dash for the same reason

Cool, I ended up with a 435i xGC MG from BMW Alexandria. Went back to my dealer from my first BMW rather than Passport. I'm waiting for the manager to come back to authorize the new $750 innovation credit. Not sure if you can do it too with a ED?

I really hope this is not true for you guys as with out question our favourite option is the leather dash it just lifts the interior of the car to a level it should be at. Afterall inside is where you spend most of the time. If they cancel this on you I would seriously push for some free extras

I ordered my 435i on July 20. One of the options was the leather dashboard. I contacted my CA last Saturday regarding the status of my car and he advised me my September production sold was now indicating a January build date. He subsequently advised me that he was going to contact his distribution manager then let me know what the problem was. My CA contacted me on Wednesday and he disclosed the leather dashboard was holding things up. I directed him to remove the dash from the order. My car went into production on Thursday.

If you have the leather dashboard option and it hasn't been built yet, it will get pushed back to January 2015 production.

I talked to my CA and he confirmed that I made the cut for the leather dashboard and my production date has not been pushed back to January 2015. After all, they gave me October ED delivery date few weeks ago and I doubt that they will push back my ED date just because of leather dashboard option.

Thanks for posting this. Last week I was wondering if the leather dash had anything to do with my car still not going to production (production number was granted on 7/22)! Dealer knew nothing about this, but called BMW when I told him what I read here. He confirmed that my car now was showing a January 2015 productions date! The previous production date was last week. I cancelled the leather dash, and he told me it should go to production this week. (Holding breath) BMW screwed this up badly by just changing my production date to January without first notifying me or my dealer! The leather dash is something I was really looking forward to. I have one in my Boxster and it's sweet. Oh well, I just have to forget it was ever available.

I called BMW NA and asked and they said there was nothing in the system indicating that the leather dashboard was holding up my production. I ordered 8/29 however they used a previous order and changed it to use for my car. I was scheduled for production week 36 (last week) but BMW NA doesnt have any further info. Is there somewhere specific I should call to get info?? My production date hasn't changed according to the rep, so am I still good?

I don't know. My production date was week 36 as well. When I saw on Monday (week 37) that it still wasn't in production, I started calling. The person at the BMW 800 number could only tell me that my production was changed to January, but couldn't say why. My dealer called the NJ headquarters and says they confirmed that it was the leather dash. He said that if I removed it, the car would enter production this weeks. I did and now I'm waiting again. I hope it goes to production before they change anything else or tell me that it will have to be painted lime green if I want it before January.
