MyBMW Remote - Android

The MyBMW Remote app can be manually installed to an android phone, allowing for remote unlock, GPS localization, etc if you have BMW Assist on your car.

Here is the thread with a link to the file:

I have not had a chance to try it yet, as I am waiting for my car to arrive. If you try it, let us know if it works. I'm going to try it as soon as the car is here.

Sorry! Just found out about it myself via google.

On the upside, here's an entertaining and relevant emoticon

It should work in the US, too.
You just have to make sure that ignition is off and the car is not more than 1km away, otherwise it won´t work for privacy reasons.
