2016 320i Interior Trim

I stopped by my local dealer to check out some trim options on the new 2016 320i
Well...they didn't have many 2016 units...still trying to push the 2015s on the lot.
I noticed that on one particular 2016 unit with the Fineline Anthracite Wood trim that the lower brushed silver trim piece runs across the door panels both up front and in the rear...
This is the strip that hides the ambient light strip in the door panel. But when you build this trim option on the BMWUSA BYO webpage, it does not show that silver trim strip.
Anybody know if that strip is part of selecting the Fineline Anthracite Wood option for $500?

Also, on a somewhat related topic, how does one change the brightness setting of the thin ambient light strip in the door panel? Is it in i-Drive or is it tied to the instrument cluster lighting intensity?

Thanks in advance for any info or support on the above ^^^

Regarding changing the ambient light brightness, it is both in the iDrive settings and via the instrument cluster brightness adjuster. Adjusting the instrument cluster brightness also affects the ambient lighting brightness. You can code it so that the brightness adjustment of the instrument cluster is separate from the iDrive ambient lighting adjustment, however.

Garage List
It appears the matching door trim is not included on the 320i.

The brightness is in iDrive.

Thanks for the info on how to adjust the ambient lighting brightness

One last question, anybody have pics of the fineline anthracite vs the ash grain wood trim?
Its mighty hard to tell them apart on the configurator...
