Still looks like a E90 facelift.
Interior looks like something from Mitsubishi. |

BMW is not going to do a radical re-design of the 3-series, that is their "bread & butter", they can't mess with it. What did you expect? F30's interior looks like a massive improvement compared to E90's - it is more upscale, better quality while still retaining sportiness. |

I'm just amazed, stunned, surprised,.... That is a 328i! That is a 4-banger! It is not a 335i! and wait, there is still an M3 coming! Wow... Yeah, I know I'm dumb, but I think it is just unbelievable. Although the styling is not perfect (I like it though, just not love it), I am totally sold. Great job, Bavarian.

The 3 series did not debut in 1982. It did so in 1977 as the e21. US variant was the 2 door 320i.

The author of the review dumped on the looks of the early E90. In fact, this forum is the only place where I repeatedly hear that the early E90s do not look good, yet BMW sold millions of them. Hell, most of the general public do not even notice any differences between lci E90 and a pre lci E90. I am an early E90 owner and I sometimes mistake the lci model for a pre lci until it gets closer to where I can see the minor detail differences. I don't understand how a person can call the lci E90 good looking but call the pre lci one ugly. I just do not get it!

Curious how smooth this new 4 banger is... if it's anything like the Audi A4, then thank you very much but you can keep it.

I am convinced I want to buy this - 1-2 year old used from Factory Used Cars programme in Munich. Until then seems that E90 is just fine.
However, I prefer the simple two gauges layout of my E90. I think it's minimalist, simple, and never bothers the eye. I other words, not really feeling huge need to upgrade and spend lots of cash on it. But as used car it will be fantastic. Plus I want to see how the tech inside holds up in a year or so and what child illnesses it has.

Great review. The track video was great - the 328 sounds impressive.

Be honest,i am waiting for the new m3 to come!
Now i am an owner of 2008 335xi coupe 6sp manual n54 powered, and i don't see any sense to go with the new 3 powered buy n55.it loosk allright and i'm sure coupe would be nicer. But the same engine power and no lsd is not for me. I'd better go with 2011 e92 m3 dct |

I thought after my current M3 I would be too old and have grown out of the 3 series model line but this 3 just looks so good. While many may disagree with the 4 banger and the interior, I absolutely love everything they did to the car. Which is a first..

Yeah, same here. I've been trying to decide on a new car now for about 6 months. Everything out there had some kind of compromise as far as my wants/taste goes. But the f30 gives me no such reservations. It fits the bill for me! |

South, what's the difference between the standard EPS and the sport variable EPS? Is the sport EPS always more tighter regardless of whether it's in Eco/Comfort/Sport etc or is it basically the same?
and what is the default mode? Eco/Comfort/or Sport?
