My new 335d

Hi Guys,

Only had my car for a few weeks now and have settled in quite nicely in my first BM ?

A few things I've noticed which I thought I'd raise.

1. The driving position is not amazing.... Ive just sold my MK6 GTI after owning that for 3.5yrs and I've not felt as comfortable as I did in that as yet. This wife had an Evoque and that also feels better to me...

I guess it's just getting used to it.

2. A few times the Pro Nav eta time and the current time and what media is playing in the 2 grey boxes have not shown up which is very annoying as I've no idea on eta etc.

Overall I'm very happy with the car although I'm slightly nervous that I will rack up the miles too quickly as my office is London and I live in Portsmouth so 150 mile round trip. Thank god for Eco mode!

Here's a pic

Cheers

Wag

Nice. How do you like the diesel? Any insight into the 35d vs 35i?

Nice, a diesel is perfect for driving for at least 150 miles/day.

Don't feel too bad, I bought my 328d (your 320d I believe) and have put 40,000 miles on it in the last year

Hi.

It was a purely financial decision to go d over i although the petrol does seem to be the better car!

No complaints from my side so far as the 335d is one hell of an engine.

Wow that's a few miles!!

My job will have me on the roads a fair bit which is why I bought a nice car.

Although in hindsight it would be nice to not stick so many miles on my nice new car!!

Might as well enjoy em...!

It does make easy work of the distance that's for sure. Also pretty good mpg too which is pleasing

Congrats! Took me a bit to find the most comfortable seat position when I got my '07 E90; but once I did, the seat felt like a glove. And I've not changed from a 3-series for the last 4 cars.......

That's an illusion, you're not driving the diesel right.

Heck, you send that 335d over here and I would HAPPILY send you a i in return.

The two missing grey boxes can be brought up by pressing the scroll wheel once. You have to be selecting the "map" not the left or right options bars or the smaller split screen. When you click right once from the nav tabs on the left; or one click left while highlighting the split screen options on the right... you will notice that you are actually highlighting a little "i" (or something like that if I remember correctly). That pulls up the two grey boxes with destination info.

This drove me MAD until I figured it out...

Congrats for the purchase!
Did you test drive a similar model before?
A 320d would return a better mpg, but without a refined engine like the top 6 cyl one ☺
