Comfort access is good if you can get it. Also HK and DAB. Ensure sport seats. Price could be a little better on your quote. Don't forget tint.

don't forget the new iDrive Touch and improvement for MY14 sedan starting production in few days. Guess dealer will do their best to offload the MY13/13.5 stock cars! negotiate hard.

Sad my F31 is currently in production in Munich and seeing the light in 2 months here which is already obsolete! haha that's life.

and one last thing, stick with your budget! the options can add up too if you tick the boxes.

I was thinking about HUD and Surround View but couldn't reach them...

Hi Adrian
Agree with H, there is more room to move.
I paid $75k for same spec plus reversing camera and sunroof and 4 years free servicing
Did not bother with paint protection or tinting by dealer. Had this done after by opti coat dealer

If the car is already here the dealer would be keen to sell before EOFY
Good luck

Wow thanks for that rjr , your car has about 3k more in options for 3k less than I was quoted !!!
Where abouts did you pick up your car? Was it already in the country or did you build it? Did you really have to haggle for the end price?
I don't really want to have to shop around too much considering I have always had good service from my local dealer and have bought 2 cars from them in the past. Nor do I feel I should have too either !!
Thanks

A, not sure if you've read this entire post but if not have a look at page 15 where I posted the spec, and cost, of my original car.

I can also tell you I was offered $71K for a basic car with the only options being pro Nav,Xenons and sunroof.

There is PLENTY of room for your local stealer to move. If they won't I would be happy to give you my guys details.

Can I also add if anyone is looking to lease Stratton (through Macquarie Leasing) are currently at 5.49%!

Good luck.

Smile

I'd also be keen to find out rjr if that was existing stock coz that sounds like a good deal. Nicely done

I've been calling around Melbourne and the best quote I got was $78k for one that had done a few hundred kms without pro nav or rear camera. Nothing to get excited about.

Does anyone know where I in Victoria I can go for a better deal? Would really like to get an M Sport with with xenons, HK sound and sunroof in the low $70s if possible. Don't mind if it's floor stock either if it helps save a grand or so.

4ml, Adrian, what finance rate are BMW offering in Melbourne? I have to wait in late July to start talking to BMW Sydney for finance options.

BMW up here were 6.5% and wouldn't move, even with evidence of a cheaper rate elsewhere!

Not sure. Just trying to get the right price before sorting out finance.

Thanks H
I'm hoping to be able to do something this weekend in regards to getting a final price, so will push for what I think is reasonable and if not I would definitely be interested in talking to your guy. Not sure which dealer you dealt with but I did travel to gosford some years back for my first BMW so a potential deal on the phone and nice road trip back doesn't phase me at all

Hi Adrian
The car had already been ordered by the dealer and was about 4 weeks away from delivery. It had more options than I origional wanted, but as it was the colour I wanted I decided to try my luck with the price I was prepared to pay. It took a fair bit of negotiation.
I did the negotiation on the last week of the month so the saleman was keen to get another sale locked away before months end. I also did everything by email, that way I had some control by not being in their environment.
Sometimes if you are a repeat client the dealer can get complacent. This was the situation with me. I gave my usual dealer the first opportunity to do business, but they would not give me anymore than the usual corporate discount, so I went to another dealer, who were a lot keener and willing to negotiate.

Good luck

Hi A
If you have not already done so make an offer on the car and let the dealer come back to you. If they won't come close to your price go to the other dealer. This worked for me.

from bmwvin.com the car has this spec w additional bi-xenon lights, no other extra.

BMW finance is a good product, no hidden catches like some or most finance companies. You'll be better off in the end even if 0.4% more.
I got BMW finance down to 5.9%. They will do business if they think you're going to walk..

Either side of six looks about right. BMW Finance, St.George and Westpac were good when I did mine a year ago (St.George and Westpac aren't the same despite what the casual observer may first think).

Hi Guys,

First post and thought I'd contribute rather than ask a question.

I bought a 2013 F30 328i Mineral White Demo with 1500km on the clock for $63K driveaway from a Sydney dealership (I'm in Melbourne).

Options were fairly light but included Sport Line, Sunroof, Xenons, the lighting package.

Was told it was a very good deal by the dealership but there were reasons they sold it so cheap i guess.

Either way - loving the car. I came from a 200Kw ATW + MY09 WRX STi so speed wise the F30 is a little slower. But overerall driving experience is much better.

Congrats .. it's a pretty good deal. Glad you're happy with your purchase. You can chip it and it will give you almost the same performance
