Water spots on Door Rubber Seal

Hey guys,

Got some water spots looking dots stuck on the rubber door seal. I was wondering if anyone has experience removing those and if so what can you use?

Thanks!

Got the same issue on mine. The dealer is going to replace mine because they saw it before I picked it up, but this can't be the only time it will happen. I've used Armor-all and Mothers Back To Black until I can get it back to the dealer. Those work, but wash off in the rain and carwash.
I will be interested in solutions posted by the forum.

I use 303 Aerospace Protectant 2-3x/year and it seems to take care of those spots fairly well.

Anyone got more input on this? I can't see why a dealer would replace the seals since the spots are from dried up rain drops. Will they replace the seals after each rain?

I used Gummi but it's not helping since Gummi doesn't clean, it just "nourishes" the rubber. Gives it a slightly blacker look but the spots remain. Maybe vinegar.

I use Mothers Naturally Black to fix up the spotting on the rubber seals. One or two wipes using a microfibre cloth tends to do the trick. Doesn't take much product either, just make sure to wipe any overrun off the glass.

Use a rag with a little bit of wax. Comes right out, but only lasts one wash cycle.

can you show a photo of the issue, we have been successful in cleaning up seals and trim with an all purpose cleaner and dressing.

I've been thinking of trying black shoe polish (wax type) on my windshield gasket. Anyone tried this?
