It happened 4 times today

I washed the car today so to dry off the last water molecules from the car, my wife and I went for a little drive today.

My wife noticed it shortly after we got going.

The first time, we just turned onto Neerim Rd, Carnegie when one guy holding a ladder for another guy up top, turned his attention to my car - so did the guy on the ladder.

The second was seconds later after we turned the corner. Some guy was giving his thumbs up when he saw the car. WOW!

The third, whilst driving along the Monash Fwy, a passenger in a car next to mine took his phone out and took some snaps of my car. So exciting.

The fourth. A truck driver was looking down & admiring the car as we were neck & neck.

Lots of fun showing off my nice clean car today.

Ok, so no more Estoril Blue F30s for Melbourne. Sorry. That's it. Finished. Choose another colour people.

So what are your experiences with people looking & admiring your new toy?

LOL good to see that you got what you paid for

A few of my experiences :

- I was in Doncaster shopping center and was looking for a parking spot, this guy glanced at my car driving by , turned around again tugged his wife and started pointing.. He probably was saying "That was the one I was teling you about?" or "Can I get that car please?"

- I was doing my weekly car wash after the driving in the rain. With my headphones on an elderly lady in her 60's tapped me and the shoulder and said "Good job, your car looks great!" Wasn't sure what she meant... =.= I doubt she knew it was a F30

-Parked to get a cup of coffee in the city on Elizabeth street on a busy Saturday afternoon, had alot of ppl staring at the car, Definitely not at the good looking guy driving it .. Alot of attention till the Lamborghini drove past

WIth the car being BSM it only seem to attract those that know their cars. Such a shame

LOL!!! Elderly & 60s in the same sentence. You are funny.
Perhaps for most (except for my dad) elderly is 80s & of course 90s, but 60s?

Anyway, yes, the car is certainly receiving its deserved attention. I remember similar looks from people (young & elderly) when I started driving my E90.

Funny how we can determine exactly what the guy said to his wife/girlfriend about the car. I would have guessed pretty much the same thing. "Can I have one? Please, please, please?"

head turner

Agree guys....the EB M Sport turns heads. I dropped the wife off in Canberra city on Friday. She told me later that a bunch of five guys having lunch were all pointing at it as i drove off.

driving past a roadside construction site a couple of guys took a look on approach and as i went by turned their heads and kept looking.

Those at my office who have seen it all ogle it and say how sexy it looks.

i could go on but I think we all understand. It is a gorgeous color and shape.

Vain as defined...'excessively proud of or concerned about one's own appearance, qualities, achievements, etc.'

You know what I think there is nothing wrong with being proud of your car or being concerned about your appearance, qualities and achievements. I admit it I am so proud of my car and bloody vain about it.

But OMG telling someone to grow the _____ up now that's plain childish.

In short, i reckon if you paint a 98 corolla in Estoril Blue passerbys would still look and stare at it. EB screams "Look at me, look at me..".. "I am attention seeking.. LOOK LOOK"

As they say + !,000,000,000,000 - Oh Yeah!!!!!!!!

Seriously, since I decided on the EB, I've noticed so many blue cars on the road from all different manufacturers. Similar blue to the EB. In fact my youngest brother has a very nice Mazda3 in Sky Blue Mica. Yeah, you notice it because it looks good.

Then again a business owner near my office owns a Holden Commodore Sports in Perfect Blue. Now that car screams "Look at me, look at me."

Saw another Commodore in green today. Very, very LOUD notice me colour.

Nothing wrong with it and nothing new.

Hey Gordon Gecko . .....(plug sense of humour in now).

fact is... Eb is a gorgeous colour ....The F30 M Sport is a nice looking car. The combination of the two is very stunning. It does turn heads because it doen't look like the run-o-the-mill car. In the same way that an attractive woman stands turns heads.

Simple observations on how the car is perceived.

On days I want to blend in I just drive my black Forester .....

Went for a drive with a good buddy of mine who has an A4 (quattro) and a Toyota Caldina (which has a 2l Turbo for u guys who don't know the car).

Few comments he provided, He was very impressed with the power it delivered as and when you needed it. He also mentioned that it has more torque than his 2 cars which I found surprising. I also asked him if he found the M Sport suspensions too stiff, answer was negative he found it very confortable in fact. To sum it up , he will be on the lookout for one soon =)

I think BMW did a very good job with the 3 series this time around.

The wife and I saw an EB on Sunday night just cruising casually along, she did the old double take, which is unbelievable for her cause she is not into cars and said "boy thats a nice car and color"

I did about about 3 or 4 takes lol.

Now I just have to convince the minister of finance and war that its the car for me!!

Yeah thanks, that was me in the EB, just cruising along after it had the dealer glaze removed and 2 coats of Hard Body applied.
So smooth - the feel of the car's body work.
