I'm running the developer version of iOS 8.4 (beta 1) on my iPhone 6 Plus:

Just noticed this morning on my way into work that it appears that emails and missed calls are now showing up on the iDrive as messages. Not sure yet about other notifications.

I did however experience some audio issues plugged into my head unit (CIC) where songs were changing mid-track.

I'd assume this is the last 8.x release before we see 9.0 start to go into beta, so it will be interesting to see how it behaves with our head units.

Unlikely that 8.4b1 will have been jailbroken already. Let's hope Apple keep this feature working during beta and into live.

I don't jailbreak, so this is with the stock 8.4b1 install.

I do some light web and app development work, so I usually have the betas installed on my devices, unless they are complete duds. :-)

I'll post more findings as I discover them. I just found it interesting and noticed it immediately as I was heading into work this morning.

How is the Apple music app going? In particular to any issues with idrive?

I have iOS 8 beta 4 installed on my iPhone 6. Only new text messages show up. However, when i had iOS 9 beta 1 installed prior uninstalling it due to terrible battery life, i was also getting new email notification in iDrive.
