Hi,

I just wanted to start a thread to see when Canadian xDrives are being built.

My order is scheduled for week 35 -335i xDrive.

My 328xi was scheduled for week 28. Production date was July 10 (don't know whether that's beginning or completion though).

My sales guy says it'll very likely be delivered to his lot on August 13.

Unfortunately, he isn't able to tell me what ship it's on...which I guess is okay, because I'd otherwise be obsessively tracking it online.

Search for ships docking in Halifax. Might be easy to figure out from there.

That's a good idea, but they only post arrivals over the past 24 hours. Looking at the Wallenius website schedule, I think my car may be going on the Toledo, which leaves July 20, and will reach Halifax by July 31.

There are a couple ships operated by Maersk (Penang and Palermo) with scheduled stop in Halifax, but I don't know how to track cargo on their website.

Chances are, I think the car is waiting at Bremerhaven for the Toledo. The timing is about right to reach Halifax July 31, wait for CN to ship to Toronto, and deliver to the dealership in 'Sauga.

Week 35 is not too far away. Besides, you'll save a couple weeks because you live in Halifax. You can probably watch them unload your car at the port!

Faster delivery. That is about the only advantage of living here. ;-)
It is cool what offloads from some of the auto ships. Yours will be her in no time.
