Well thank you for making this thread (and yes there is another thread with the same issue), but you guys can definitely put me on ths same list, my car has the same issue, but not as pronounced as OP.

Doesnt seem normal, but not safety related fortunately (touch on fake wood), but coming from a $50k car, this is not good Publicity.

Bmw is making a lot of doh, better have a least a team in resolving it.

Nope they never figured it out. It is still there, just faint and you can sort if tolerate it if that makes since. Maybe my custom exhaust drowns it out it maybe when I play the radio I just learned to phase it out...

I got tired of my car being in the shop I just told then I want it back after a week.

But you're right regardless, 50k car I'm not exactly happy about this.

Just thought I would chime in here too. Tonight, my girl and I are driving to dinner having a conversation with the radio off and then we look at each other like "wtf is that beeping/whist;ing sound"... it was faint, but you could hear it was there. Sounds like its coming from the dash/firewall area. It was happening at intervals and then at times it sounded like the sound was about to start, but didn't really complete its cycle. We parked the car and shut it down when we got to our destination. On the way home... there was no beeping/whistling sound.

Yours sounds pretty damn annoying... I would really hate to have mine turn into something like that :-/ Going to have to take this one in.

Someone else started another thread and they video taped a sound coming from under the hood... but from in the cabin it could sound like a faint beeping/whistling sound.

Mine started beeping on Monday! It is faint compared to the OP. Anyone have this resolved? I emailed my SA a video if it a few minutes ago.

No. Still does it. It's faint not like in the video, but it's still there.

SA has no answers. They don't even know what it is. Like I stated in earlier posts they had my car for a week, they reflagged the software, nothing worked.

Thanks for the update. My SA said "weird sound, never heard it before. Did you try disabling Bluetooth?"

I do not have an F30, and am sorry you guys are having to deal with some BS like this. After watching the videos, to me it sounds like a whiny fuel pump. I've heard similar sounds (beeeeeeppp or like a sustained whistle) before on other cars and learned it was a fuel pump..

IDK, hope one of you guys gets to the bottom of it!

On addition to this beeping, I had the squeaking steering wheel! That took two trips to the dealer to fix.

Yes Bluetooth disabled didn't do anything. Even left my phone at home on a test drive to seeit that helps and nothing.

Have the same issue. Only thing that i found works is by raising the telescopic part upword. If it's to low it sounds like im rubbing vinyl on vinyl

Sorry, I forgot to put "lol" after my SA's comment. I didn't believe him!

Mine would sound like that when it was hit out. Take it to the dealer for the wheel squeak. There is a BMW solution that was sent to the dealers. I think they just added a grease to something within the column. It's been a couple of months and it hasn't squeaked since. (knock on wood).

To stop the beeping I turn on the AC for a second and it goes away. Someone else mentioned this and it works for my car.

Mine does the same thing at random times. I took it to the dealer and I can only assumed they couldn't replicate the sound. They pretty much said it is normal... I was very frustrated. One thing which is hard to believe though, I noticed it while I was washing the car. Obviously the car was turned off but the beeping sound started randomly. It was coming on from the back of the engine bay but not sure where... it is definitely anoying...

Pretty much figure it's a fuel pump or a module. I've heard crazy random buzzing from the car while washing it too.

If it's faint I'll live with it. But if it persists to be like in my posted video I'll pass on future BMW's. I'm very interested in the M235i and will wait a year after it's out to get it. I'll see if it's plagued with the same issues as my f30.

Some one who is mechanical inclined could probably figure out why turning the AC on ceases the beeps.

On my MY13 335i the high frequency beeping could be heard with A/C on or off. There were times it went on so long I had plenty of time to turn on/off just about everything in car. Never found a culprit.

It really was annoying and if I was on a Bluetooth phone call the party on the other end would typically ask what was that noise...

Dealer never figured it out.

The issue sounds like a whine that would have been heard from an old school TV flyback transformer. In this case its not a continuous whine, just a morse code version of same.
