Yeah I notice that it's working again. Looks like it arrived to Baltimore very early this morning.

I also checked my car at http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/index.jsp using my VIN and it looks like it cleared customs just recently (I assume that's what the status "CUSTOMS RELEASE" means). That was quick.

All that's left now is to go through the VDC, install the MPE and MPPK, then off about 20 miles south to where I pick her up!

Anyone knows how long it takes for me to be able to look up my car on a VIN decoder site? It went into production two days ago and the BMW NA number tells me it will be completed on March 4th, so next week, but every website I type my VIN # into comes up with nothing..

Any help would be great! Thanks!! Really excited

My 435 started production on 21FEB w/etsitmarted 28FEB commpletion. Status is now in paint shop. It shows up here:

I'd guess "liner release" means the car was "released" to the "liner" that is transporting the car from the port to VA?

I think "liner release" means it's available for a trucker to pick up for delivery to the dealer. "liner" meaning ocean liner.

If you call the 800 number and get someone knowledgable they can tell you when the car will be at the dealer. My car got off the turandot last week. On Monday the guy at 800 number told me the car would be at dealer on the 28th. On the 25th I called again and was told the 26th, and the name of the carrier was Prestige. I called on the 26th at noon and was told call the dealer as the car should be their now or in a few hours. When I called the dealer I was told the car just arrived. Picking it up tomarrow

Yeah I just called, they told me the car was at the VPC and that the expected delivery date to the dealer was March 10th, I didn't ask why it was so far away. I assume the car was damaged in transport.

It stands to reason that I'd receive the car the day I leave for a week on business...so unless the car gets delivered ahead of schedule, I got another 2 week wait, fun stuff.

12/21/13 Placed order with dealer. Got a week 3 allocation
01/12/14 Production started
01/17/14 Production completed
01/25/14 At port of exit ( I do not know why it took 8 days to get here)
02/03/14 Loaded on the Turandot to NY (I was lucky I missed the Asian Emperor which left on the 29th of January)
02/22/14 Arrived in NY/NJ Port
02/26/14 Arrived at my BMW Center
02/28/14 Picked up and taken home

Mine was completed at the similar time as yours. It left Bremerhaven yesterday on the Elektra. Check with your SA if yours hopped on that boat.

Mine is going to Hueneme so it isn't on Elektra. Gonna be Mignon on 3/8 more than likely.
