You do not have a choice between them. PREMIUM Map is for CIC Head Unit, and NEXT Map is for newer NBT Head Unit.

You need to use either:

0x28 0x0B for Europe PREMIUM 2016-1
0xA9 0x08 for Europe NEXT 2016-1

I am not sure what you are not understanding. It is explained Step-By-Step in Post #2.

Man Im suck. I have problem to solve. Need this badly I have E-Sys 3.26.1 and I connect cabel to car F30. When I run this esys there is no such thing like F20 to connect - blind spot. Its shows that i can pick connection via VIN. So I think i need PSdzData Lite, right? So I download now those lite 3.57.4 But where it put where install to work propetly. Can someone help me with this? I have map now need this code.

A 2013 will almost certainly be CIC. Do you have the big iDrive controller (that you can write on) or the small controller?

Hi Shawn..

Wondering if you could help me? I've generated the FSC code through E-sys, I changed the batch file to 0xA9 0x08 for Europe NEXT 2016-1. Once I plugged USB into my F30 2013 Pro Nav NBT it says new update is available and asks for code. The code I am receiving from BMW_CIC_NBT_FSC Generator is wrong and now my Nav is stuck on insert correct code?? I've tried changing the batch file to 0xA9 0x09 etc but none of the codes generated work? I've also tried FSC Generator and when I enter my .fsc and choose correct map after updating LookUP I keep getting the same error that NBT.exe is missing from Tools directory? I've downloaded the FSC generator numerous times form different sources but this NBT.exe file never appears??

Actually got it sorted after hours messing around with BMW FSC Code Generator.. Instead of using the programme to generate the FSC code I used the Command Line like Shawn explained earlier. I used FSC.exe xxxxxxx.fsc 0xA9 0x08 (7 DIGITS of VIN) in the command prompt tools directory and the code it gave me worked straight away.. It was so frustrating getting the wrong code each time but delighted now I'm on Europe NEXT 2016-1..
