My baby entered production today!!!

Status 111: 6/14
Status 112: 6/24
Status 150: 7/2

Something happened with my order, as my original order showed a "week 27" production date. Now I'm told it's slated for week 30.
My order went in and was accepted by BMW on June 11, 2012.

I emailed my CA asking if he would change my color choice, but ONLY if my car was not in production. He changed my color today 7/2.
He also says that my build date is for week of 7/23, week 30.

I asked what happened, but he said he didn't know and that he's seen this happen before.
I'm suspecting maybe my car was entering production and the color change resulted in a new build date.
The actual production number is the same now as it was when the order went in.

I'm not really that bothered by it as I didn't expected my 3 until Sept.
My dealer says that even with week 30 the car should be here around the end of August. It could be, maybe. But, if my car were already in production as it should be, then mid to late August would have been very realistic.

I switched to melbourne red w/black leather. Should be nice and sporty.

Maybe it's just a default systematic event to push the build date back when things like options or color are changed, even though it might not really be pushed all the way back to Week 30.

I doubt they changed anything regarding allocation because of what you said - same production #. My bet is that it'll go into production next week or the week after.

Status 111 shows an accepted order. Status 112 means scheduled for production w/last chance to change things. I don't think my car got to that yet. Status 150 means production started.
I'm sure he looked, he's not knew to this.

Maybe even that date was just on the VIR but wasn't exact, just like my original VIR showed the "extended cluster guages" 6WA.
That 6WA also disappeared soon after.

My production number is actually a later number compared to earlier numbers showing sooner production.
No big deal.

My production # is for a Week 30 build, but it went into production today. Now she's a Week 27 So yes to your question, it showed as "Wk 30" on the Vehicle Inquiry Report.

Great taste! My glacier m sport x drive is set to complete 7/6. I did wind with with the sport AT after driving both and, and skipped the tech package. Cold eater package a must here.

Already shopping for new rims to replace the 7 spoke 396 rims that I appear to be getting.

Congrats! Drive to Alaska and I'll honk at you!

I really wish the dealer had one in stock with that steering rack.

At first I thought it was like a "variable" ratio rack, but after reading more on it, it's just one ratio/tighter for first degree's of steering, and then then goes to the stock ratio.

BMW is giving the $1000 drive event money, which covers the DH pkg.
Maybe they keep pushing my build date back so I'll add more things to it.

Might as well. Both options were $1200 separately in 2012 but are $1000 as a package this year.

Seriously, get it. Two things a sport line needs are

1) Dynamic Handling
2) Sport Auto or MT. No standard auto.

The rest is just filler.
