Video - F30 Brake Flush and Bleed

Hey Everyone,

Here's a video on how to flush and bleed your brakes on your F30 (truth be told, it's a very similar process on most cars).

Hope this helps!

Bryan

Does this procedure apply if you install new calipers & hoses or would you have to go to dealer for that so they can activate ABS to bleed?

I would think if you clamp off the hoses, remove old calipers, then remove hoses from old calipers, install new calipers with hoses already attached, then quickly disconnect the hard line from old hose & reconnect to new hose that air would only be introduced from hard line connection point out thru caliper & not affect ABS system - so this bleeding procedure would suffice?

If you did happen to get air in the system you can activate the abs pump yourself using ISTA although you will need the Enet cable
