FIXED - left front wheel touching fender liner on left turn
2012 F30 Sport Package.
Bone Stock, except Bilstein shocks in the rear. and I am RWD ONLY. 19" stock 401 style wheels staggered set stock size with Michelin Run flats. I just bought this car with 90K km or 60k Miles. Great ...no really Great Condition and No accidents or anything....very clean. my left front wheel touches fender liner when I turn fully left. I only found 1 thread on this issue but it was front transfer case related . anyone else experience this? Thanks in advance. PS: coming from a 2007 E90 335i. I liked my old car feeling better. this one has too many modes. I wana save gas and drive fast....LOL FIXED: bought car back to Infiniti Dealer where I purchased it. Mechanic was a BMW tech for 20 years and remembers a RECALL....hmmmm Recall stated that just to remove the Sunroof Drain plugs behind fender liner as that is what pushes the Fender liner out. and it worked. now I wana know where I can look up all the recalls for the F30. He just asked yes/no “does anyone else experience this”. So your response totally answers his question! Guess he should have created poll instead. |

Nope- Never had that problem as long as i had the proper sized tires/rims. Sounds like a suspension sag on left side or the fender liner is not fully/correctly seated.

Never experienced this condition. Earlier post is very helpful. Look for left and right suspension height differences and likely reasons: worn shocks, springs, bushings, control arms. Professional, in depth inspection is highly suggested.

Okay wait so did this sound like a wheel bearing/low grinding sound at first? I was reading a similar thread earlier today, trying to figure out if there’s a connection.

For checking recalls, I would go to the BMW Canada website, under the "Owners" tab, there is a Recall section where you can enter your VIN. Alternatively, under the same "Owners" tab, you can create a "MyBMW" account which would also provide you with recall info.
