Ok when I ordered mine I think I remember my salesman telling me I would be getting the mixed tires with the rims I assumed were standard M sport specific 18" (style 400) but this new US configurator for the M sport shows those plain Star Spoke (Style 393) 17" that come on the plain base model. Please tell me this is a error on the website configuration!!!

I told him, that if he was 100% sure that I was going to get 18" staggered with A/S, then we could leave it alone. After further research, he decided I had better change the tires from ZAS to ZPT, if I wanted to be 100% sure that I would get staggered wheels.

Assuming they really don't allow 2PE and ZAS, I figure one of three things would happen:
1) They automatically replace ZAS with ZPT
2) They automatically send me non-staggered wheels
3) They delay the order while they check with me to find out whether I want (1) or (2)

Since either (2) or (3) would be unacceptable to me, I had my CA change my order to ZPT.
Thats correct you need non staggered 18s to get All seasons. If you order staggered 18s with all seasons (ZAS) the order will get rejected.

According to the order guide, if you want wood (anthracite, fineline or burl walnut) you have to get the pearl chrome highlight trim.

I think it's so cool you can get the Active Hybrid in M-Sport. Another reason I love BMW.

I am in Bergen county as well. I would recommend Eddie Jones at Prestige BMW. He knows his cars and is a pleasure to work with.

It better be an error...

The wheel selector shows the correct image, it just does not post on the main configuration photo.

Being listed under both is intentional, and not a glitch. Leather is required for the Cold Weather Package, and it's also required for (and included in) the Premium package. The glitch is not being able to select both.

Did anyone notice you don't get sport suspension with ActiveHybrid Sport Line or M Sport? Does BMW think people that want to save gas doesn't want a sporty ride as well?

Those tires are far more likely to be available for the 18" wheels, than the 19", in the near future.

We don't get that much rain or snow here, but I am willing to give up a little performance if it means I only have replace the tires half as often. I realize that 18" A/S partially defeats the purpose of getting the staggered arrangement, but I am after the best balance of cost and performance I can get. This will also be my only vehicle and I will likely have to drive it in the rain sometimes.

I know there are many people that think the 19s and 20s look better, but I think the 18s look fine. The 18s will also be cheaper to replace.
Not to mention you will get better performance numbers with the 18s.

Those who order the hybrid should be happy. They get the fancy new iDrive.

So BMW really thinks this hybrid crap will sell better in the US than Diesel would? Maybe I am wrong but I think the new 35D would cost the same or less as the Hybrid thing but actually give better gas mileage and much better performance.

I thought the Diesel X5s were selling well, and even the old 335D, why is BMW ignoring this technology for the US? No Diesel X1, X3, X6, 5 series? at least give us one engine for all, 35D would work.

I saw the same thing. Either the M Sport already comes with one of the items, or their system is having a problem.

The configurator is clunky, and is further complicated by the different "line" options. If you choose the M-Sport "line", why make options selectable if they are going to move you to a different "line"? I tried building a M-Sport with red seats, and it changes to a sports line. Every option I selected changed my base car. I've lost interest.

I'm not one of those people who complains about option bundling and packages, but I just built a fully loaded 335i xDrive M-Sport for $62,395. I didn't select any of the accessories; not even the extended warranty coverage plan. There's no excuse for this kind of price hike over the old 335i xDrive.

M package looks so good. I would wait a year or so;that way BMW will have the chance to upgrade stuff, and add new items

They think that because it's true. You have to realize how stupid people are. BMW is preying on people who don't read fine print, which shouldn't be news to you. People will hear "hybrid" and think "OMG PRIUS FUEL ECONOMY." The income bracket that actually wants a luxury car that returns better fuel economy doesn't need better fuel economy anyways, so most won't pay attention to their MPG gauge. Nonetheless, hybrids are frugalizing the attitude of our driving enthusiast environment and it's rather annoying.

People like us on the forum want a diesel because WE KNOW it's better in every respect and still satisfies our enthusiast woes.
