Trying to decide between ordering a base model 2017 430ix coupe with 19” wheels and my choice of color with no real add-ons, but heated seats. Or I can get a brand new 2016 428iX for about the same price (no $995 dest. Fee) as the 2017 .

The 2016 has Nav, Driver Assistance Package, Cold weather package and Premium package, 18” wheels for about the same price as my nearly base model 2017. I know that the maintenance plan was reduced from 2016 for the 2017 models. Does anyone know how much better the new engine is 2017? Are they using that in sedans currently?

Which car should be worth the most in 3-4 years. The 2016 is probably a better buy/value, but I may want that newer engine. Any thoughts or advice? I should be able to get 10-12% off msrp on the 2016 , right? Thanks

How are you not getting charged destination fee on 2016? Is it waived?

Also interested to know if 10-12% off is doable for 2016s

The destination fee is waived since it's old inventory, I guess. I've had no luck getting any dealers to budge on more than 5% off 2016's. 3 different cars and 3 different dealers in Northeast Ohio.

Also found a demo with 3k miles, but only willing to take 10% off, not the 20-25% which seems fair according to my research.

I swear these people don't want to sell cars or they're just greedy.

Dealers in new jersey are taking over10% off 2016 models. 17 model will be worth at least 3000 $ more in 3 or 4 years.

I should mention that I had the same decision to make. I opted to order a 2017 430i. It's sitting at the port in new jersey awaiting release by the epa. I got a 6 % discount off sticker .

I ordered the 2017 430i X as well. Only 5% off though. The MSRP and paint colors' prices increased on 8/1 by $300 total. Pretty lame since the salesman and I had negotiated the price earlier that day (8/1) before he knew about the increase.

My order was delayed 2 days due to this because I wanted the prices we agreed on and I wouldn't place the order. They never did come down.
