The M sport F3x cars are better behaved daily drivers. Anybody who buys an actual M car and doesn't do at least a couple of trackdays a month is the poser.

It's like people who buy top of the line liter sportbikes and never get enough lean angle to remove the inch-wide "chicken strips" at the edge of the rear tire tread.

Beautiful car.

I am confused by the 2 parts you listed above.

A F10 Gear Level assembly will not fit in the F3x opening. Are you speaking of the CF Trim only?

Obviously you cannot have a F10 and F82 gear selector in same place. And what is pictured is not a F82 gear selector. So you talking about the button at the bottom of the trim? If so, what does it do in your F3x?

And what does that have to do with the OPs post and his Avis Blue car?

Please don't thread-jack.

Haha...relative to the F80/2/3 M3/4 this thing, especially the 6MT versions, are total unicorns!

Hey guys, honest opinion please. I'm considering picking up a 2018 440i Xdrive on Avus Blue such as the pics in this thread. However it comes with the stock M performance edition 405 wheels.

Do you guys think the Avus Blue or Sapphire Black looks better on this car? Obviously Avus blue is rare and desirable for me but I'll have to pay full price for a brand new one. Or I can buy a slightly older 435 and save roughly $20,000. My wife and most of my friends think the avus blue is a mediocre color and dull. Not sure what I'm missing but I think the color looks great.

Thoughts?

I own Avus Blue and love it, but $20K is a big amount. Have your friends and wife seen the color in person?

I am a fan of the more dramatic colors - I had a Estoril Blue 340, and now a Sunset Orange 340. Love the color of both of them.

I think the Avus Blue is far superior to Sapphire Black. There are a ton of SB coupes around, dare to be different.....

They have seen it and compared it to Sapphire Black and Glacier Silver which are two other colors I've considered. My wife compares the avus blue as seeing a regular Mazda on the road.

So this will be my daily driver and partial work vehicle. I'm in sales, so I would occasionally go to meetings in this car but I wouldn't bring clients in it. My other concern is if this car is too flashy.

Maybe I should tone it down with a grand coupe?

As expensive as the M3/4 is, I think you need to be all in before getting it. You’ve got doubts for what are good reasons in your life. A Grand Coupe is a fine car too.

Yet they drive completely differently. Sorry guys, no matter what you do to a F30/32, it won't drive like a real M car.
