So whats going on with BMW with the new X1 and the grand turismo lineup, is the current lineup not enough in NA?

It will stop once they produce dynamic and efficient Bus and Mini-Vans for mass transportation the BMW way...

I'm so tired of them making these huge people movers, or garbage movers or whatever you call em.

If BMW continues selling these large people / shit movers, i will not be inclined to pay them 50K+ for their "Performance" car, especially with those 4 cyl engines that they are thinking about ...

I wish bmw would do the following:

1) Add DCT to all coupe cars at the minimum.

2) Make the 1-series longer / wider, and make it look like a mans car not a girls car with those weird lights.

3) Add a model in the 27K-35K range, that is the size of the current 1 series, but make it nice looking, perhaps as good looking as the Zero concept car.

I just don't understand BMW, dont' they want to survive the recession? (if you can call it a recession, to me it feels like a depression).

Why can't they just make something cheaper, and sexier looking, so they can volume sell and make money? At least until the recession is over. I guess they will just ask for their German Government for a bailout while continuing to produce idiotic products like "Station Wagons" that are called GT's.

they want to push the diesels to the US market but prices are so high..... reason for a diesel is to save money on gas, who the hell is going to spend $50k+

they should have an affordable 1 series diesel just to get middle class folks to start this new trend (in the usa)

and I don't understand the X1...so where does the X3 stand?

Just like any other car company... they need more products to make money.

They're taking their cues from GM.

12?

Is this another one of your exaggerations?

BTW, we need to talk about my visit to BMW earlier on Friday.

The X3 is getting a MY anyways

I'm not saying the X1 is not great, but it's the same size as the X3 so whats the point?

IMO, the x1 makes more sense the x3
and im pretty sure the x1 is smaller
you have the x5, a fairly full size sav and the x1. the x3 is nothing but a smaller x5. it has no purpose. whose it for? i can see the x1 having a bigger customer base than the x3. i never understood the x3 so dont flame me if im misunderstood

but what BMW is doing now is literally making a car for every type of person in the world. thats why were seeing all these new models
i hate deciding between whats needed and whats not for BMW. although i can make an opinion of what i think of their cars individually, i have to respect BMWs ideas

i think the x6 is fine as a lot of people like them in reality, but there is no need for 1 series, x1, 3/5 series gt hatch. As if the x3 is not small and bad enough. Regular 3 series is small enough already, why 1 series? if someone want a hatch, might as well just get the SUV x6 or x3.

X2
...on top of that the X3 has never been a pretty car. In fact it looks worst then the old Land Rover Freelander. It's towing capacity is laughable. They shouldn't waste their time in a new version just keep the X1 and X5.
Soon we'll see M version of the ugly useless GT models (ie.///M 5 series GT who knows.)
