Opinions on Mediterranean Blue

Are you guys with this colour happy with it?

The thing is i' ve chosen it, because i was in love with the pictures, but without ever seing One live.

Now i discovered there is one near my home, and it seems a lot like a Dark purple rather than a brighter Blue.

It's a rather dark blue but it has great color changing qualities depending on lighting. I think it is a really nice color

I love the color. It kind of changes a little depending on the light. When it's cloudy, it appears dark - more like imperial blue, but shines in the sunlight. It does have a purplish hue in it.

I've noticed that my Midnight Blue looks fairly uniform in color in the summer, when the sun's higher in the sky, but when the sun is low in the winter there's much more highlighting.

I love this color and would have had it (or Jatoba Brown), had it been available with M Sport Package.

Agreed. It's not the easiest to maintain, especially where I live.

Treat it with Menzerna Power Lock. Road dust and water spots from rain wipe off with a microfiber towel. When it won't wipe clean a rinse alone usually does the trick. I very seldom have to do a full washing.

No BMW blue that you can get for <$5k on the F3x looks great in all lighting conditions:
-Estoril: Great in the shade, candy blue in the sunlight
-Med: Great in the sun, too dark in the shade
-Tanzanite: ^ but even more extreme in both cases
-Imperial: Boring color (not enough metallic flake)
-Carbon Black: Looks like Imperial in the sun, black in the shade

Out of the four above, I'd rank them Tanzanite, Med, Estoril, Imperial, Carbon (favorite to least favorite).

Now Monte Carlo Blue, that's a proper blue!

San Marino also:

Couldn't agree more. That Monte Carlo Blue is exactly what i wanted.

And the M3 too, by the way

Very attractive F31 Unfortunately, that colour is not available with the M Sport package in North America.

Thanks!

But it actually is a 5 Series Touring (F11). I'm posting in the wrong forum section to show the color.

Monte Carlo is nice, but maybe a bit light, Le Mans and Deep Sea were BMW's best blues!

Ah yes, Le Mans. So choice:

Really though, Med Blue is awfully close to Le Mans. This crazy guy paid Individual for Med Blue on an M-sport 340i:

I wish they'd include something other than Estoril Blue with the M-Sport package, or at least give us a way to pay a premium for "individual" colors. Can't understand why they make such a big deal about limiting M-Sport colors here in the US.

Regarding those darker blues - Mineral Gray (and Sparkling Graphite before that) is dark dark in the shade and much brighter in sunlight as well.
