Question 20x8.5" Et35 and 20x10" et38 compatible on F30 335i xDrive?

I'm interested in the M433 M6 Gran Coupe replicas aka The Transformers aka Capri 5111

I wanted 20x8.5 in the front and 20x9.5". However, the seller only has them in 20x8.5" and 20x10" with 35mm front and +38mm rear offset. Would these wheels work? And if so, what would be the recommended tire for the rear?

I would prefer to put on 245x35x20 on the front and 275x35x20 on the rear, to provide some protection against pot holes.

I have a 2014 335i xDrive and no immediate plans to drop it, but eventually may want lowering springs to help counterbalance the fact that the xDrive sits higher than the RWD.

Any insight is much appreciated.

Front should be fine.

Lots of guys with 10" rears in ET40 and ET45. ET38 is going to stick out 2mm more than an OEM 437M wheel if you search those and see where it sits.

Front is fine but the rear 10" wheel with ET38 will be very aggressive on F30!

You might be able to fit them without rubbing but I think you need to stretch the tires a bit.

245/35-20 front and 275/35-20 rear will definitely not work with xDrive, the rear tire is 3% taller than the front (should be less than 1% difference with xDrive).

245/35-20 front and 275/30-20 rear is better, the front is 0.9% taller. But I still think there is a risk that the rear 275/30 will cause rubbing.

235/35-20 front and 275/30-20 rear is almost identical in diameter so ideal for xDrive, but still the same risk for rear rubbing issues.

225/35-20 front and 255/30-20 rear, i.e. OEM staggered 20" tire sizes might be a safer alternative to avoid rubbing.

235/30-20 front and 275/25-20 rear will de fine with xDrive and has shorter diameter so the risk for rubbing will be reduced. But tires with that low profile will increase the risk for wheel damage instead.

I have a 20x10 +38 on my rear, lowered. No rubbing, perfectly flush with Hankook V12's 275/30/20

Good info!

But F36 has more room for lower rear offsets than F30.

Would a wider tire work? I'd really rather not stretch/stress the tire since I live in a city with no so great streets.

Thanks for all the info, I think I'll likely go with the 245/35 and 275/30 at your suggestion. I've seen that setup on here with no rubbing, so I'm not too worried about it.

I thought the xDrive would be a benefit, since it sits higher. You're saying only the front part is higher?

Looks dope. I might cop the wheels I mentioned then...There is a bit of a price difference between the black gloss and machined in my OP and the all gunmetal M6 reps that I can get for the low, about $400 price difference.
