Driver side seat heater issues

Hello,

Just came accross another isue with my car today... Never ending small issues...

Seems like driver side heats up only the right side of the seat very nicely and the left side stays cold to the touch ?

I'm wondering of this is how it's suppose to be. I would like to hear about yours. If it is heating up the whole seat. If it is then I will tell the dealer about this issue also when I take my car in soon.

Thanks in advance

Something's wrong with your seat. Both "cheek" sides are warm/hot as-needed and maybe it's me but it feels like the seat back is warm too. Haven't had the heater on much as the days have been in the 50's but today it is 37 and hit the seat heater and steering wheel heater just to get the chill off. Will have to let the seat run full blast with no jacket and feel the seatback.

Very likely the heater element is damaged. Take car in for service.

Aren't there options in idrive to change heater seat preferences? ie: back vs seat?

Not in the 3-series; There are no settings for seat heat distribution like there are in the 5+ series.
