DIY Rain/Light/Solar/Condensation Sensor for F20/F30
All
Just complete my write up and would like to share with whoever looking to upgrade the very basic F20/F30 that does not come with auto headlight and rain sensor but has automatic air condition. The total cost for me is $65 to get the OEM part from ebay. The nice thing is that only one part required. The light switch is ready; it just need a minor mod. The full detail including part number/installation/modification/coding is in this file. http://www.mediafire.com/view/naawal...r_Retrofit.pdf Have fun Mokorx Last edited by mokorx; 04-11-2014 at 07:52 AM.. |

Hey Everyone. I'm looking for some help here. I've sent the OP some PM's but he seems to have disappeared.
I followed the guide and everything works, except for one thing. The lights don't go off automatically. They come on automatically, and stay on until the you switch off or turn the car off. Does anyone know how I could find the setting so the lights go off automatically as well? Thanks! |

Not sure if this will help or not, but I timed it. It takes 2 minutes in full light for the lights turn back off. There was no adjustment for that. Note that the sensor that turns on the headlights and the sensor that dims the idrive screen/extended dashboard panel is different. Those activate almost instantly.

Hey
I took a look in the various modules and compared mine with my fatherīs one. It seem that the Kombi has to be coded for the sensor too, which I have not done |

Even after coding Kombi and all other ecuīs, lightīs donīt switch off immediately.
It still takes a few minutes. Could it be a Hardware thing? But I think the only Hardware with is different to factory Rain- Light sensor is the "steering wheel ecu". |

Try this one. This coding change sensitivity of the sensor. Auto lights sensitivity Fembody 3130 RLS_DEF_FLC_SCHWELLWERT_SATZ Change from "normal" to "un_empfind" This change does change my sensor sens. to my choice. Moko |

Ok. I took a look in ISTA/D for the problem, that the light needs a few minutes to switch off.
I found out that the problem isnīt a problem. Cars with built date after March 2013, have a new Version of the Rain Light sensor. And with the new Sensor came a overrun time for the light. So the difference is in the sensors. Old Version - light switches off immediately New Version - light switches off after 2min. Coding from new to old or old to new is not possible |
