EGT connection needed for Steinbauer tuning box on 335d

Hello,

I recently removed the Steinbauer box from my car as it was going into the dealer for some work. I didn't fit it myself originally and I had a question on the EGT connection. From snipnoob86 DIY thread this connection is at the rear of the engine and is not visible but is accessible where as mine was connected on the left of the engine (drivers side) and is quite visible. The original connection is the larger of the two circles below, the smaller connection is the Steinbauer piggy back connection. Is this correct? What is the best way to identify the correct connection?

The instructions from Steinbauer really aren't clear and don't contain any pictures.

Thank you teaston. Do you have any more pictures, it is hard to make out from that.

Thank you so much! That is great.

This is different to where Lorcan/Rossiters had connected it which is puzzling. Speaking with Matt@Steinbauer he said this connection isn't actually needed for the unit to operate correctly so it wouldn't throw an error.

Oh, in that case maybe the guy I bought my steinbauer from had connected it in the wrong place!
