Why is it so hard to get the VIN number form the Stealer!
How hard can it be?
Is there a way of seeing a production batch in the BMW archiv VIN thing? Does anyone have a recent VIN series that i can use to see if mine is there somewhere? Not sure that is possible. |

Hi, I've been told it has, or is about to, start production. But because it is a lease getting the VIN number is proving difficult. So I'm trying to see if it is in the production queue and if it is to see its progress.

it doesnt have a VIN if it hasnt been produced. Once production begins you can get the chassis/production number. Is your dealer refusing to give you a production #?

Yeah, it is getting the VIN number that is proving difficult. Because I am getting the car through a lease deal I am not in contact directly with the dealer. The person I am in contact with at the lease company is not necessarily the sharpest tool in the box and has repeatedly given me their order number not the VIN.
The car is apparently in production. So I was wondering if there was a way of looking on the VIN tracker to find it directly myself there. But it doesn't seem possible, unless someone has a recent GT VIN and the number are sequential. |
