The stupidest thing they did was force people into up buying- this is not an Accord buyer.
Can't get sport seats without ZSL. No sports suspension without ZSL Can't get xenons on 328 without the ZPP (I don't want a moon roof, or the rest of that crap.... $4500 for headlights... give me a break!) No wood in ZSL Have to get HUD with Nav. You get limited color combinations now and wait for it.... can't get Letherette in anything but a base or sports car (red stitching required). Unless you go absolute base model in this thing you are getting hosed. Wait for 2013 models at least then there is the MSport, people need to speak with their wallets. The car is sensational don't get me wrong but due to the packaging it is lacking. The scary thing is that the ATS will be cheaper and have more standard content and I have a feeling they are going to sell boatloads if they spend money advertising as the car looks good on paper.

Why is everyone hating that wheel? I don't get it. It has the same controls as every other model and the three spoke is retro modern (throw back to E30)

WOW! I cant believe the difference in final gear ratio between the automatic (3.15) and the manual (3.91) it use to be the other way around for e46 cars this new auto tranny must be great, I can only imagine how much faster it would be with a rear diff from a manual 328.

Of course if you figure the HUD is $1300 on F10, then Nav & bigger screen is only $1250 now, so the price has gone down in a sense. Bundling is a way to keep keep Nav price inflated. |

1) Significantly undercut BMW pricing by say 10K 2) Make an ATS-V model that kicks as just like the CTS-V kicks the asses of almost all the cars in its segment 3) If they can bulge out the fenders on the ATS-V model to give it some curves and a broader/more bulldog-ish stance, they would totally have a winner with me. Right now the car looks too angular and narrow to me. As far as handling is concerned, if the ATS ends up well sorted out just like the CTS, then I am very sure it will be fine. As far as tech is concerned, GM tech suite is arguably just as good or even better than what BMW offers, so I don't think I will be missing out in that department either. I guess if I went with a Cadillac I would be missing out on the prestige of driving a BMW, but all of that went out of the window for me when I moved to California and noticed BMWs are as ubiquitous as a Toyota Camry. While I love my E90, I think they have gone overboard with the pricing. They are forcing people to spend more than they want to with their stupid packaging schemes, and is starting to seem to me like there may be better options out there. If Cadillac can come out with the good stuff, I would jump at the opportunity to buy USA again

So, I built the 328i the way I wanted built and a 335i with the same intent. Apparently they 335i is only a little above 2 grand more than the 328i with my settings. Why wouldnt i just shell out the extra cash for the 335? Something doesnt seem right with the configurator.

Big Numbers From A Funky Configurator
I agree with other comments, doesn't require a lot of effort for the numbers to roll up. I'm not getting what I need but I'm getting a lot stuff. While on topic, the configurator is acting funky, could it be I'm on Mac or are there bugs to sort out?
