Anyway to fix my steering wheel or get this covered under warranty?
I got this car 3 weeks ago. When I test drove it they had it detailed so everything was nice and shiny, inside and out. Today I was walking back to my car and saw my steering wheel through the windshield.. Is there anyway to get this fixed or would BMW cover this under warranty as pre-mature wear? It's still under factory warranty and its a CPO as well

You can ask your dealer to cover it. I suggest being nice as pie about it when you ask. BMW usually doesn't cover wear on items that get touched such as seats, steering wheels or trim.
That being said, my local dealer replaced some items for me under warranty such as trim. I asked nicely and it didn't hurt I have a good relationship with them. |

That damage looks like something corrosive was used to clean that wheel. Not sure, but likely the detailer (used loosely here) at the dealer used a bad product.
They likely won't replace it, no way to fix, and no way to prove that you didn't do that after taking possession of the car. The wheel is around $1K.

If that's a leather wheel you can dye the leather.

That looks like either incorrect cleaner used or premature wear. I had premature wear on the drivers leather seat at 26K miles and still under warranty. the Dealer (Sterling BMW, VA) replaced the seat leather without charge or resistance. It will depend a lot on your approach and the Dealer's Good Will attitude. if is due to a chemical their "detailers" are using, they will likely have or will get more complaints.
Good luck |
