Is this a 335 type-r? Lol

I actually dipped the badge and rear reflectors black back in july. Looked good but felt the car was too black and peeled them off. So easy. I have a bunch of new cans if ppl want.

LOL, no not type-R. But I used the red so that it would stand out on the black. I could totally see how all black would make it too black.

Speaking of plasti-dip, I thought I'd experiment and try spraying black, one of my front whiskers black on my AW SportLine.

Opinions on what looks better? Matte silver on right, or plasti-dipped black on left?

Sorry for the crummy iphone pic.

Found the Color I wanted, RED!!!

Got the car masked off.... and the first coat.

After 4-5 coats, cant remember....

After removing the masking......

The finished product.......

I think the finished product looks awesome and if I dont like it I can just peel it off.
You can buy pre-painted letters in a wide range of colours including red, CF. I hate chrome and replaced 328i with matte black letters (also removed x-drive and sport stickers) BTW: easy DIY with tooth floss, hair dryer, and goobegone

Also chassis codes (no my thing but, not bad)

Looks cool.

I like the red on the black car. Brings a nice touch to it.

Good job!

Anyone know how this holds up? Curious about chipping or peeling.

Its been there since I posted in December, no issues has been washed many times since then. No peeling or chipping. No noticed fading from the AZ sun either.

Hey Guys, I would like to share my experience in plasti Dipping

Pictures of the Original Color~

The Excitement Begins~

After 8 Coats, Adding 1/4 turn every coat.

Showtime~This was taken at a BMW Meet in a empty airfield

To Sum it up, plasti dipping your car as a newbie will be challenging at first,
especially if you want that smooth clean consistant finish.
Also, this process is like a trail and error, if a paint starts to run or drip, you would have no choice but to do it all over again if you know where i am coming from.

I like the black one most. Especially because your grill is black too. Go ahead and dip the other one too :-)
