UPDATE: 15 Jan 2015 - 442M Wheels + Burger Motorsports 10f/12r spacers
Just a quick shot of my car on 442M wheels. Now that they are mounted I really really like them! I was originally thinking that I would keep these for a little bit until the tires wore out then get some aftermaket 19" or 20" wheels, from my fav wheel company BC Racing. But now that they are on I dont think I will be upgrading. I love the tinted grey color a lot. The Burger spacers are top notch too! Boy I need to drop it about an inch though! Looks like a 4x4! Looks awesome! Only OEM wheels that ate better IMO ate the 19" M4 wheels in black
You purchase these off someone?

Thank you! M4 wheels are nice! Wish they fit our cars better but that offset is so aggressive. I did purchase these off of someone who has a 435i coupe who ended up putting 20" Avante Garde wheels on them.

looks really good, nice progress. height doesn't look too bad, will need to see more pics. I'm starting my search for 20's.
Are you going to add painted front reflectors? |

The height is very high for my tastes. I prefer the top of tire to be about 1/2" below the fender. Depending on the angle my car looks like a 4x4! Spacers helped but the profile of the Pirellis actually counteracts the impact of the spacers. Pirellis are narrow so it looks like the tires are stretched on the wheel since the sidewalls actually is not square but rather angles away from the wheel edge. And yes I will add painted reflectors. Going to let the wallet cool down a bit and enjoy the car for a month or so then I will add the reflectors and LED turn signals. Thank you! Quote:
Thank you sir! I greatly appreciate it. |

The drop is high on my list once Bilstein comes out with something for the F36. My car is already tinted. Exhaust in the works thanks to my newfound buddy F32 N55! Tune is always the last thing I do. |

Lol "let the wallet cool down" I know that feeling!
Looking great Tommy! I am 100% with you on the drop. 1 finger between fender and top of wheel I'm currently putting a custom oil catch can together with OEM connectors and wide open flow capability, but great catching capacity. Also waiting for Coilovers. Next purchase when the wallet cools off will be Dinan tune and and then MP Big Break Kit. Also enjoying every minute and dollar spent. |

Tell me more about this oil catch-can. I have not read anything definitive about its benefit for our motors. We are thinking the same thing...I am going for the Dinan tune once they get Calif smog approved for their N26 tune and the M Perf brake kit is a must! Cant decide between yellow or orange. What about you? BTW, I used to live in Austin! Great place! Miss riding my motorcycle out to Marble Falls and eating at Pappa Deux! I lived in North Austin near the Dell facility. I found this pic of a 428i GC in Japan lowered on Bilsteins. Unfortunately they have not released their coilovers for the F36 yet in the US! Wish they will hurry up.
Anyway, this is what I want my car to look like with a nice, conservative drop: Last edited by tboooe; 01-17-2015 at 01:35 PM.. |
