led dials cost more ip front and then if it has problems later will cost big bucks to fix. I don't even look at it that much since the HUD is pretty good on the BMW.

Full digital? Or just always back lit? I had a 5-series loaner, and the dash wasn't digital, just the gauges were backlit all the time, like -- well, most other cars on the market today.

US market may be different though.

It's S06WB , actually 416 euro.
My brother just picked up his 5 series with the full digital cluster(it's an option on 5 series as well), I actually like the analogue cluster of my F36 more.

Apparently, the release of the 4 series lci is next week in germany, 23rd here in NL. I am doubting to get a 340 or a 440, but the kids keep pushing for a MB c43 coupe... I need a replacement for my 335 2013

I can confirm 6WB will be an option on 4 LCI, including US market models.

I like the idea of having a digital dash, that said, I just don't like the sport mode dials in the digital dash where it turns red and doesn't show all the numbers.

Will order 440xi GC with that either ways if i'm given an option

I too dislike the red of the sports, there is a option in the IDrive settings to turn it off though.

I hope it's customisable and had nav zones etc. If it is just funky gauges that you only see a difference when changing transmission modes what is the point.

BMW's digital dashboard is just that, a digital one. It is not as purposeful as the Virtual Cockpit in Audis.

I have experienced it in thr I8 and 7-Series which I both drove over a few days. The colours and animations look cool but it's not an option I walked away from absolutely wanting in my next BMW. A head up display is a lot more useful.

I wonder if it can get OTA updates like a Tesla. If so then Ill definitely get it, otherwise Im also questioning its utility.

I think I'll have to add this to my options list for my 430d order later this year.....

I can't wait for the LCI to come out!

I would imagine nav directions could go in between the two dials similar to where it is positioned in the extended instrument cluster on current F3x models. However with a HUD I'm not sure how useful that would be...
