Yes, and you have a Telematics Combox (w/ BMW Assist), not a Media Combox.

There are no differences (e.g. Bluetooth) between the two except Telematics (BMW Assist).

Well, some interesting news others who are concerned about coding might find interesting.

I brought my car in for service because the hood wouldn't latch.

While in the shop, they applied a "recall" to the car, SIB 61 36 12. (Does anyone have access to the bulletin? I'd like to know what it was for.)

Two things: the reprogram wiped all the options -- disclaimer is back, weather band is gone, fob control of the mirrors is gone, etc. Second, the dealer didn't say a word about the coding and, apparently, the car took the "reset to factory" just fine.

So, those of you who are worried that your dealer will notice the coding need not worry any more.

..so I had this the other day at the dealer:

"....and found fault code stored for coding DME and CAS moduls, performed test plans indicate to reprogram vehicle per SIB# 61 38 12
cleared faults and programmed vehicle."

...sounds like they know......

Had this the other day too. It's a recall involving the FEM_Body module and electrical shorts due to the original coding (from my understanding). They rebuild the car to the latest version which unfortunately is 48.2 (which I don't believe is available yet).

They knew I had programmed the car because they commented on finding the OBD cable in my glove box while fixing trim. I don't think they care.

Well while I may have lost all my fantastic programmed options I now have the pleasure of seeing the BMW text logo on the dashboard when I unlock the car. What a fantastic recall! (sarcasm)

Thanks.

I always had the BMW text.

Would I be foolish to try re-coding the options with the previous level of PSDZdata I have (not sure of the level)?

No, it does not. Those fault codes can be caused by anything. They have no way of knowing if they were coding induced.

The car had fault codes as happens, and they cleared them and reprogrammed the car. This is normal stuff to them, coded or not.

No, you wouldn't be. Worst case scenario is that you will encounter a module(s) that you simply cant read the coding data from, and you will get a [C012] missing CAFD error in E-Sys; however, you can do no harm.

The newer the PSdZData you are using, the less likelihood of that occurring is, so you would want to use 48.1 if at all possible.

If you don't like the new BMW Logo, you can change it to the M-Performance Logo I think with KOMBI / BMW_LOGO = mpm:

Thank you very much for the advice! I think I am using 46.3.

If you wouldn't mind PM'ing me with links for something more recent, I'd appreciate it.

Happy new year!

Require fsc code for office? Or code in as new fa? Is there an option code for office?

So, now we know your E-Sys SVT wasn't lying to you.

You have 6NH Bluetooth Basic and a Combox.
Shawn how easy are these to fit, set up and add the relevant CAF etc?

Check the ETK, I think u may need a new headunit if u want to fit the combox cos the hardware structure is different between a CIC & L7 Entry headunit.

Should not. As I said before, on the F10 at least, if u remove the country controller from the VO the office menu reappears.

Yes, u have most features that 6NK have, just that from factory the features of 6NK are reduced to 6NH by coding.
What do u have inside the front armrest apart from the usb & aux connectors?
