Well it seems that coding my car is a NoGo for me (at least for now).
Thanks to Shawnsheridan, Dataready & Utenigma for their help, links & info.

I downloaded, Install & setup E-Sys no problem; downloaded ALL PSdZData files overnight no problem; BUT unfortunately when I was unzipping part#10 (out of 44) of the PSdZData my computer hard drive ran out of space
I only had 100GB free

At least I didn't have time to buy the Token or Cable!

Why don't you ask Shawn for the link for the Lite download, that will fit and you will be able to do your coding!

Has anyone encountered this problem while FDL coding HU_NBT?

I VO coded my retrofitted HU_NBT today so that it would get my vehicle configuration, language and radio frequencies and it worked but as soon as I FDL code something else from HU_NBT like Startup Emblem, everything reverts back to its previous VO but everything I FDL coded will remain. After the FDL code, it changed my chassis type back to F31 and the default language to German.

I thought it was because my HU_NBT is retrofitted but today, VO coded someone's 2014 335i with factory NBT and when I FDL code something, the 6NS features are gone but the features coded via FDL are there.

You are doing something wrong. I am not sure what it is, but this can only happen if you are reading factory VO back from the car and VO Coding NBT with it.

All I did was VO code HU_NBT then going back into the module to FDL code some features. I've done this on HU_CIC many times without any problems.

I have a feeling it is because I unchecked Update VCM after TAL execution. I'll check that off again and see what happens.

I don't think that will make a difference. I have Update VCM and MSM disabled on mine, and I never have this happen.

Did you write the modified VO to the car, or does car have original VO in it?

It's a modified VO with 6VA removed, 6NH changed to 6NK and build date changed from 0312 to 1112. The strange part is, I don't know where HU_NBT is getting its original VO coding from because as soon as I FDL code something, my PDC shows a F31 and all the menus are in German again. It seems like the NBT has a way to revert back the VO from its previous car.

is there a very big difference between the older ESYS programs and the newest? I am having a difficult time following the how to's because I don't even see what they are talking about like the reading the VCM, The VCM is nowhere on the coding screen.

Not really, but that particular button name did change. It newer E-Sys versions, Read VCM is now Read SVT.

That makes more sense because it would bring everything up when pressing that.

Now when I do that and am doing the CAFD backup I have an issue where it says that it was not found. Is that a connection problem or user error? everything works fine up to that.

CAFD Backup is worthless as it is far easier to just reset an ECU than it is to restore backed up data from it...but I digress.

What is the exact error you are getting?

What PSdZData version are you using, and what is your I-Step Current?

And you are able to read all the other ECU's with no problems, just ACSM has read problem?

I tried a couple of the others and they were giving me the same thing. Could it be something with the software?

The software setup is the issue. E-Sys cannot locate your PSdZData. Did you set the location for your data folder under E-Sys => Options => Settings => Program tab => Data: = C:\ESysData

And do you have this folder on hard Drive:

C:\ESysData\psdzdata
