The Activehybrid 3 may be ordered with M Sport Package, Sport Line, Luxury Line or Modern Line. We asked BMW this question at the 2012 NYIAS:
Q: Is it possible to get M Sport package or lines on the Active Hybrid 3? A: You can order it [the Activehybrid 3] with any of the lines (sport, luxury, modern) or M Sport package. As a no-cost option, you can also replace the aerodynamic wheels on the Activehybrid 3 with traditional standard wheels. This is also confirmed in the press release above.

well its not really on the US site, its broken...
So the M Sport package can be added for FREE on the active hybrid? seems odd... No more tax credits in the US either It will take a long time to make up for the extra cost based on gas savings alone. |

also not sure its minimum gain on MPG, 39 combined average is a pretty major gain over the 335i which gets about 26 combined (50% gain). Granted driving 12,000 miles at $4/gallon in the US means you save $600/year, so it would take a long time to make up for the extra cost... |

39 combined? I'm not sure if that's possible with any 6 cylinder at all.

So BMW bumped it up to 40MPG (from 36MPG) and the total HP up to 340HP (from 335HP). They also raised the 37MPH limit on pure electric operation to 46MPH. Good news all around!
