LED replacement indicator bulbs over stock bulbs.

Can anyone please recommend where to buy led indicator bulbs for the front and rear without errors coming up. Also are they easy to change. Miss not having led indicators anymore, as fitted on my previous car (330d M Sport coupe lci). Thanks.

They don't work very well as the light unit fitted to the F30 is designed to be thrown off of the lens from a filament bulb. The LED bulbs seem to only throw light in certain directions and so you will end up with not very bright indicators at all. That's why factory LED lights have multiple LEDs and not just an LED bulb unit.

Call me weird.....but as I never get to see my indicators, couldn't give a hoot if they were candles lit with some elaborate over engineered ignition method

....or do you mean the dash board flasher in LED, wow how cool would that be

Long story short but unless you code the car then the LED bulbs don't work correctly!

Basically, because the LEDs require so little power they flicker every 60 secs. They do this because the car checks for bulb failures every minute and to do this it sends a small current to each bulb on the car. It's not powerful enough to illuminate the standard bulb but it is powerful enough to cause the LEDs to flicker. So, without coding off this 60 sec bulb failure check then your nice LED bulbs will flicker!

You would if someone else drove into you because they didn't know what your intentions were at a roundabout or junction due to not seeing your candles!!
