OEM M-sport bumper retrofit

Hi guys,

New to the form, but I was just wondering, if and when do OEM bumpers come out for the M-sport for the F30's? Also, how much do you guys think they will cost painted based on past history with other MY's? A decent range would help in trying to figure out the future cash outlay of this sucka. Thanks guys!

Thanks for bringing this up . I was also wondering if I can change my Luxury Line Imperial Blue to M-Sport. (Front back bumpers, rims and steering wheel). Do the bumpers come factory painted to the color you want ?

The retrofit kit should be available after July. It will only be primed for painting.

Dont forget its not just the front bumper skin that needs replacing, but a large number of ducting and the bumper carriers

Does the ducting and bumper carriers come with the bumper? If not, which specific parts need to be purchased?

No they are sold separately. Even with the retrofit kits on many other models you have to still buy many of the parts separately as they often vary with options fitted.

We need to wait for all M Sport bumper part numbers to be released before we know what needs to be changed

not likely going to work easily. They are very clever about NOT making upgrage package options avaiable for customers to work around the packaging.

I am sure an aftermarket equivalent would be much more feasible.

I would be happy if I could buy the OEM M sport steering wheel or the M performance version if it would become vaail. in leather arther than alcantara but not counting on either.

I really like the interior of the Modern Line with the oyster/dark oyster so am torn between getting that or an M Sport with Veneto beige, because IMHO the m aerodynamics package looks alot better than the standard bumpers. I'm worried about how much of the interior would still be black if I spec'ed the veneto beige in the m-sport though.

One sales executive said it would be "impossible" to retrofit the OEM msport bumpers if I get the modern line, because of suspension settings and something about larger intakes - which didn't sound too convincing to me.

Another service agent said it would be possible, but to know exactly what it would cost I would have to wait till August (as already mentioned in this thread).

Either way, since I only want the bumpers from the m-sport and the interior of the modern line, it would work out cheaper to retrofit the bumpers - in SA the m-sport package is probably going to be around R35k, while the modern line is R14k

I really *hate* that I'm paying so much yet can't specify exactly what I want...

I know i wanted gloss black interior but they don't offer on m sport. Its just some pieces of plastic, cant they even accommodate that for a customer spending $50k+

We just checked with our BMW parts source and the bumper is available. Pricing on the bumper cover itself is $475.00. We are currently going through the rest of the items to see what is necessary for the retrofit.

Yes! I'm excited! Is it possible to find out if we can get the Euro bumper in the US? If not, is there a reliable way to "fog delete"?

We have our first Full M sport kit arriving in a week or so. The US model default does not have fogs, so it can be ordered with the foglight delete side grills. The bumper stays the same, just the grill area part number is different if you want fogs

Thank you. A couple more questions. Is the grille with the fogs a Euro order? If so, is it possible to get the Euro bumper cover as well?

The fog light side grills for the M sport can be ordered in the USA. I didnt get pricing onthe grills, but the front bumper cover is about 500+ range not including grills and other ducts etc.

I have everything for front and rear arriving in about a week or so. It's coming out of the Germany warehouse as there are no parts in the USA yet. I'll put together some package for those that are interested in a full M sport kit.
